Here I was going to blog on a regular basis and now it is October 1 and I havent been back here since the end of June. I do a regular posting on my Blogger Blog, but seem to forget this one. Things are going along fairly well at our household. My health is slowly deteriorating and I am very slowly making plans for the day that I am unable to do all the things that I am used to doing. I have a powerchair coming Tuesday, and that will help me for when I get so tired everyday about 4 pm. My chair will let me fix dinner without feeling as if I am going to collapse. Also, next week, I will hear how my Oxygen eval went. Doc seems to think that Oxygen will help give me more endurance.
Otherwise all is well. We had guests over the summer, (family) from California and we really enjoyed having them. .
What else?? Oh, I know, my daughter Phyllis bought me this really cool camera when she was here, but it wouldn't work for me today, must be the battery so I will get that checked out tomorrow when we go to Walmart. I wanted to take some photos of my cactus garden before we get a freeze. Most of the cactus stays green, but some of the succulents turn brownish.
I am so looking forward to getting my power wheelchair. The strange thing is, when the doc said I needed one, I was skeptical and that was only about 6 weeks ago and now it is obvious that it would really help me. At first, he said a scooter, that sounded like fun, but the P.T. Eval. said that my upper body strength was too weak. I am not a small person, and I think most folks would think that strange, but nonetheless, I must have the wheelchair instead. Oh well! I will let you all know how that goes.
I couldn't get my big dog Casey to come inside tonight. She has been wanting to be outside more and more at nights and that is ok with us for now, but won't work in about a month when the nights turn really cold. She is getting old and we have 2 new kittens who get on her nerves. Poor baby, I surely understand.
Hope everyone is feeling fine and enjoying the lovely Fall weather. Most everybody knows that I am not a fan of cold weather, but sooner or later, it is going to get cold, brrr.
